Chase Plastics Achieves National Growth Strategy

Results in New Building, New Positions, Double Digit Sales Revenue Growth
Company Sets Sights on Acquisitions for 2008

CLARKSTON, Mich., Feb. 4, 2008 – Founded in 1992 by Kevin and Carole Chase as
the Company’s first two employees, Chase Plastics is now the largest specialty
engineering plastics distributor in the USA. As announced today, the completion of
Chase’s multi-year national growth strategy has resulted in the construction and move to
a new 28,000 square-foot office building, the addition of eight new positions in 2007
alone, and year-over-year double-digit sales revenue increases. Looking forward, the
Company will seek growth organically and through acquisition.

“Five years ago, we dedicated ourselves to growing our business and product offerings
while providing our employees with opportunities for professional growth,” said Kevin
Chase, president, Chase Plastics Services. “In building our new world headquarters in
Clarkston, Mich., we are making a major long-term commitment to our customers,
suppliers, industry, employees and the State of Michigan. We plan to further expand our
business through a combination of continued organic growth, as well as through
acquisitions of like-minded specialty engineering plastics distributors.”

In 2003, the rapidly-growing Company was already well established regionally and
management took the step to develop a five year strategic growth plan to launch from a
regional to a national distributor. Originally scheduled for achievement in 2008, the
plan’s final phase was completed a year early in November 2007 when Chase moved to a
custom-built world headquarters building in Clarkston, Mich.

Chase also added eight new positions in 2007 to support its double-digit revenue growth
over 2006, and its rapidly growing client base in North America and Central America:

  • Sales (2)
  • Human resources (2)
  • Marketing and application development manager (1)
  • Commercial supplier manager (1)
  • Customer service (1)
  • Technical service (1)

“We increased our West Coast support and our Midwest presence with two new sales
positions,” said Carole Chase, vice president, Chase Plastics. “We also added two new
management positions to help identify and address specific projects and new
opportunities.”

Chase broke ground on its new building on November 16, 2006, and moved 36
employees into the new 28,000 square-foot office space on October 19, 2007. The space
is designated as Class A, utilizing a finer degree of materials and finishes in its design
and completion, and is a rarity in northern Oakland County, Mich. where Chase is
located. Chase occupies the 14,000 square-foot second floor and will utilize the 14,000
square-foot basement for secure, temperature-controlled document storage. The first
floor’s 14,000 square feet of Class A office space will be leased out to as yet unnamed
tenants until Chase needs the space for future growth.

At the official Grand Opening and dedication on December 1, 2007, Carole Chase said,
“There is a direct correlation between our core values and our Company’s success. It is
our employees’ commitment to Chase core values and guiding principles that has
afforded us the opportunity to open our new doors.”

Chase Plastics new world headquarters address is:

6467 Waldon Center Drive
Clarkston, Mich. 48346
248-620-2120

Lubin Associates, of Bloomfield Hills, Mich. designed the building, and Cambell/Manix
of Southfield, Mich. was the builder.
