Chase Plastics More Than Doubles Revenue in Canada, Expects Continued Success Across North America

CLARKSTON, Mich., Jan. 23, 2013Chase Plastics, a leading North American distributor of specialty engineering and commodity thermoplastics, experienced significant growth in Canada over the past several years, increasing sales revenue nearly 140 percent and adding about 26 customers.

Chase Plastics expanded its sales team in Canada in the past year, adding staff with extensive industry expertise and leadership experience to take on new challenges and contribute to the overall growth of the company.

From June 2009 to the end of 2011, the most recent data available, Chase Plastics tripled sales revenue in Ontario and more than doubled revenue in Quebec. Chase Plastics, a $181 million enterprise, has a total of 92 plastic professionals throughout North and Central America and serves more than 2,500 customers.

Chase Plastics’ long-term goal is to double revenue by 2020.

Chase Plastics Creates Vice President Of Sales Position To Lead Company Growth

CLARKSTON, Mich., Jan. 9, 2013 Chase Plastics, a leading North American distributor of specialty, engineering and commodity thermoplastics, announced today that it has appointed Alan Arduini to the newly created position of vice president, sales, effective immediately. Arduini will spearhead the company’s efforts to double revenue by 2020 and increase the number of its sellers and territories.

“As our sales volume and team continue to grow, it is crucial that we provide our frontline employees with the guidance and support Chase Plastics is known for delivering to our customers,” said Kevin Chase, president, Chase Plastics. “Alan’s promotion is an exciting development for us as we look to the future and the aggressive goals we have outlined for our company. We have put a proven leader and performer in charge of our sales management staff while keeping the entrepreneurial mindset and focus Chase Plastics is known for. This move also reduces the number of direct reports each member of our senior leadership team is responsible for managing, which will improve efficiency and our ability to provide more personal attention to our employees, customers and suppliers.”

In his new role overseeing the training, coaching, development and performance of Chase Plastics’ sales team, Arduini is tasked with grooming top-performing employees for advancement opportunities, including management positions.

Arduini, 50, is a Pittsburgh, Pa., native who resides in Carmel, Ind. In his new position, he will be responsible for achieving the company’s goal of expanding the team from 28 sales employees currently to 34 in 2016 and 39 in 2020. He joined Chase Plastics in 1996 and has served in a variety of roles, including as head of the company’s logistics and warehousing operations and, most recently, regional sales manager.
